Women's Curling

A four on four game.

The Game...

Rather than an organized league it is a casual group. The women get together to curl on an informal basis. Teams are chosen on the day and play for fun.

The women curl on Tuesdays at noon.

The Rules...

Games are 6 ends long.

Teams alternate throwing 8 rocks per end.

The "4-rock rule" applies. The first four rocks of an end, if resting in the area between the hog line and the house, (called the Free Guard Zone (FGZ)) cannot be removed from play by the opposing team until after the fourth rock has been delivered.

The Centerline or No-Tick rule also applies. Any stone touching the center line in the Free Guard Zone (FGZ) cannot be moved off that line by the opposition until the sixth stone of the end.
